Will a doctor spend quality time with me?
When you come in for a consult appointment
at the IU Center for Senior Health, we take our time getting to know
you because we know we have to fully understand your needs. That’s why
we do an extensive initial consultation evaluation.
Older individuals commonly have a number of different conditions to consider, all of which can interact with one another to make simple diagnoses and treatment difficult. At Senior Care at Wishard, you will be seen by a team of geriatricians, nurses, pharmacists and social workers. This team will review your medications (prescribed and over-the-counter), nutritional status, functional abilities, emotional and physical coping mechanisms, social supports, and memory. Just for starters.
It may take a little longer, but we believe it’s the only way to truly address your health and independence.

appointment of your own, please contact us.
